Two Shepherd’s Huts sit alongside our peaceful fishing lake in the Chiltern Hills.
You will love the stunning setting of Westfield Fishery. Situated close to the River Thames, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it’s an idyllic location for glamping holidays and fishing breaks. Each hut sleeps two adults in a king-size bed and two children in a double bed.
The huts are well insulated, each with a log burning fire and electric heaters for extra warmth in winter months. Double doors open out onto the lake for panoramic views.
There is a lovely local pub and restaurant, The Dog & Badger, with an excellent reputation, just up the road in Medmenham.
Danesfield House Hotel and Spa is also close by. Formerly a WWII photographic interpretation base, it is now a renowned hotel, restaurant and spa, perched on a hill overlooking the River Thames and the Chiltern Hills.
A short drive away can be found two typical Chilterns villages that you will recognise as film and TV locations. Turville is famed as the setting for “The Vicar of Dibley” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” and Hambleden is a popular location for “Midsomer Murders”. Both villages have excellent pubs. Also worthy of note are the villages of Skirmett and Fingest.
We have a fantastic fishing location at Westfield Fishery, our 3 acre carp lake is well stocked and orderly kept, available for hire and for those staying in the Shepherd’s Huts, with pre-booking essential. Alternatively, take exclusive use of our lake and facilities for an unforgettable fishing break in the Chilterns.
